The Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe has formed a crisis team that continuously monitors the latest developments related to COVID-19, is in contact with all other relevant actors and defines appropriate measures. This page constantly provides information about the status.


To-Go service cafeteria and [kœri]werk® Adenauerring

The cafeteria Adenauerring and the [kœri]werk® Adenauerring are open with limited offers, only to-go. (Cafeteria Mon - Fri 8-14, Lunch/[kœri]werk® 11-14). Current information here.

Dining halls/Cafeterias starting form September 7th

The following facilities are offering lunch upon prior reservetion starting from September 7th:
  • Dining hall Am Adenauerring
  • Cafeteria Moltkestraße 30
  • Dining hall Tiefenbronner Straße
Starting from September 7th the following facilities offer to-go meal. Here a pre-order until 9 am is required, in order to pick up the meal between 12-12:30.
  • Dining hall Erzberger Straße
  • Dining hall Schloss Gottesaue

Counselling mostly by phone

Personal counselling will be discontinued in many areas, the counselling services can be reached via phone. Please inform yourself about the phone numbers and hours on the website of the individual service.

Housing

Office hours only via phone, Mon-Fri from 10:00 to 12:00 and Mon-Thu additionally from 14:00 to 15:00. Contact us at 0721 6909-200. As a tenant, please note the following: You can reach the housemasters only by phone; phone numbers can be found in the student residences. Please also note as a tenant the announcements in the student residences.

BAföG

Questions regarding BAföG are answered in our FAQ about BAföG and Finances. The most important answer: No disadvantages with BAföG because of Corona: Press release from March 13th, 2020. You can contact the Financial Support Agency only via mail at bafoeg@sw-ka.de.

Psychological Help for students(PBS)

We are there for you! Counseling sessions are possible by phone or in person since May 18th, 2020.
You are welcome to call us Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 12 noon at 0721 933 40 60 and make an appointment for a consultation. You can find more information on the PBS here.

Social and Legal Counselling

The Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe will unfortunately no longer be able to offer social and legal advice until further notice. If necessary, please contact the District Court of Karlsruhe to request a counselling aid. More information you can find on the webpage of the District Court of Karlsruhe. After the reopening, the legal advice from AStA is available at the KIT Karlsruhe.

Studentische Kulturzentrum / Ballroom

The Studentische Kulturzentrum closes the ballroom in the Studentenhaus for all public events until at least the end of April. Regarding the rehearsals of the different groups, it will be decided if alternative dates are justifiable. Furthermore, no new events for 2020 are accepted until further notice.

We will inform you about current changes at short notice.

Notice for people infected with the coronavirus

Affected people should contact their general practitioner by phone and discuss how to proceed before going to the practice. First, it should be clarified whether there are factors for a possible suspected case.The State Health Office has set up a hotline for citizens seeking advice for all questions relating to the corona virus. You can reach the employees daily (also on weekends) between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. by phone 0711 904-39555.
