09.12.2025The Rappenwört Nature Conservation Center offers exciting insights into the unique landscape of the Rhine floodplain.
The exhibition tells the story of how the Rhine came into being, explains the ecological significance and value of floodplain landscapes, and at the same time addresses the threats posed by human use.
The current special exhibition “Water Worlds” takes you on an impressive journey:
from mirror-like lakes to mist-shrouded valleys, glittering ice, dewdrops, and babbling brooks – all the way down from the heights of the Black Forest to the floodplains of the Rhine.
The exhibition also focuses on the effects of climate change on these water-dominated habitats.

Meeting point: in front of the student house, joint trip to the Nature Conservation Center
