Having grown up bilingual, I have always been interested in languages and cultures. Even in high school, it was clear to me that I wanted to live and study in the country where my parents are from. While studying in Turkey, I decided to spend a semester abroad in the Netherlands. Adjusting to a new city and a different country with distinct structures and conditions was initially a challenge. At the same time, this experience allowed me to get to know myself better and to meet people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

During my studies, I took courses in cultural psychology, among other subjects. I am fascinated by how cultural influences shape family structures, identity development, and perception.

I have been working as a psychologist at the psychological counseling center since early 2026. I consider it very valuable that this service is available to students. These experiences have shaped my intercultural sensitivity and enrich my work today as a psychologist supporting students. It is important to me to create a safe space where personal, cultural, and individual issues are given respectful consideration.
