M.Sc PsychatristIn further training as a psychological psychotherapist with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy..
My ResumeI have been interested in people, the body and the psyche since I was at school. I was fascinated by the different personality traits, emotional reactions and stories of my fellow human beings. How does this come about? Why are we all so different? To get closer to the answers to these questions, I finally decided to study psychology (which was unfortunately surprisingly dry). And like many other students, I eventually came to the point where I had to ask myself: what direction do I want to take in my career? It's not always easy to know what you want to spend a third of your time doing later on. What you don't want to spend it on, however, is easier to answer. In my case, I quickly knew that I didn't want to spend my time reading academic papers or doing monotonous typing on the computer. I need variety.
I have been able to enjoy this variety to the full extent during my training as a psychological psychotherapist. I was able to gain experience with all kinds of psychological impairments of varying degrees in different therapeutic settings (inpatient, day-care, outpatient). My working days are never the same: each client brings their own strengths, experiences and “survival strategies”, which can be worked out together step by step. These are often strengths that the clients themselves are not yet aware of or that they have even interpreted as weaknesses. And with the diversity of the clients, there also needs to be diversity in the therapeutic approaches, which is why I like to use different methods, tailored to the requirements, resources and issues of those who come to me.
You are all going through a critical phase in your life in which you are facing many changes and challenges. I look forward to getting to know you and your story and working with you to find out what will do you good in your situation and help you move forward.
